Seven Places Music began in 2004 as a publishing company for singer/songwriter Brad Skistimas' one man band project Five Times August. Since then it was developed into an entire "Do It Yourself" boutique for the indie artist. Alongside wife and manager Kelly, the two have served as their own booking agency, record label, promotions and marketing team, graphic design firm, and licensing company (just to name a few of their responsibilities). Seven Places Music is now branching out as a consulting firm for unsigned, independent, and major label artist's, as well as managers seeking advice and guidance.
Recent accomplishments include over 90 song licenses in film, tv, and commercial advertising. Outlets include MTV, HBO, GMC, ABC, CBS, FOX, CW, LIFETIME CHANNEL, and OXYGEN. Artist album's have achieved distribution in major retail stores including Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Borders, Barnes and Noble, FYE, Circuit City, and many independent music stores. Artist press includes features in People Magazine, U.S.A Today, Guitar Player, Performing Songwriter, Billboard, Teen Vogue, Cosmo Girl, Electronic Musician, Fox Business Network, performances on the CBS Early Show, among many more.
